The idea's that helped to inspire the design and function of the Orbitwheel was simple. Capture the excitement of a skateboard, the transportation qualities of a long board and the fun of inline skates and combine them together to invent a brand new concept for wheeled sports. So the Orbitwheel was born! The Orbitwheel is, in a nutshell, a large wheel that rotates sideways around your foot. Better than a skateboard, the Orbitwheel is self-propelled by the riders sideways and front and back motion so the need to push off the ground every few feet to get moving is eliminated.
